At Olipop Software and Design LLC, one of our main priorities is the privacy of the users of our products. KikAssist is a product of Olipop Software and Design LLC, accessible from www.kikassist.com. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information that KikAssist collects and records, and how we use it.

This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website and users of our applications with regards to the information that they share and/or that we collect. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. When your data is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
Multiplayer session data (game state, player answers, and scores) is retained in Firebase Firestore for the duration of the session and may be retained for a reasonable period afterward for debugging and support purposes. Multiplayer achievement records (final rankings and scores) are retained indefinitely to support leaderboard functionality. You may request deletion of your multiplayer data by contacting us at info@olipopsoftware.com.
Data Security
The security of your personal information is important to us. We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Legal Basis for Processing
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data based on the following legal grounds:
- Consent — You have given us permission to process your personal data for one or more specific purposes.
- Performance of a contract — Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Mobile App Data Collection
When you use our mobile application, we may collect the following information:
- Device identifiers (such as device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers)
- Usage data (such as features accessed, session duration, and interaction patterns)
- Push notification tokens (if you opt in to receive push notifications)
We do not collect precise geolocation data unless you explicitly grant permission.
Camera Access: The multiplayer feature includes an optional QR code scanner to join game sessions. If you choose to use this feature, the app will request access to your device's camera. Camera access is used solely for scanning QR codes and no images, video, or camera data are stored, transmitted, or used for any other purpose. You may deny camera permission and join games manually using a session code instead.
This data is associated with your authenticated account (Google or Facebook sign-in) and is necessary to operate the real-time multiplayer experience.
- Display name (your chosen username visible to other players in a session)
- Avatar selection (the character you choose to represent you during gameplay)
- Game session data (session codes, scores, word answers, timestamps, finish positions, and game status)
- Multiplayer achievement records (session results including player rankings, scores, and avatar selections)

Multiplayer Data Collection
We recommend choosing a display name that does not reveal personal information you wish to keep private.
This information is shared only with players in the same session (up to 8 players). If you create or join a public waiting room, your display name, language preference, and suggested room capacity are visible to all users browsing available public games.

Data Shared with Other Users
Log Files
KikAssist follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Like any other website, KikAssist uses "cookies." These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.
Advertising Partners
Some of the advertisers on our site may use cookies and web beacons. Our advertising partners are listed below. Each of our advertising partners has their own Privacy Policy for their policies on user data.

Note that Olipop Software and Design LLC has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

Olipop Software and Design LLC's Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers, websites, or products not owned by Olipop Software and Design LLC.
